Chinese telecom equipment maker Huawei has gained its largest contract in the UK by signing a five-year network management service contract with Telefonica UK, which trades under the O2 brand. Chinese social networking company Renren.com has launched two new mobile products: REST API and Mobile Plugins. Renren.com’s REST API follows the standard REST protocol, including a content service interface, message service interface, friendship information interface, and LBS service interface. Huawei To Build First R&D Center In Taiwan

Chinese telecom equipment maker Huawei is considering building its first research and development center in Taiwan. According to reports in Taiwanese local media, a spokesperson from Huawei stated that the company’s procurement from Taiwan will increase with its revenue growth. In 2011, Huawei’s procurement value in Taiwan reached NTD110 billion, which was about CNY23.65 billion.
