B.C. anorexia patient improving at Alberta clinic

A B.C. woman who stated she felt like physicians had sent her home to die because she was an adult with chronic anorexia is thriving at an Edmonton clinic.

“It’s like night and day,” stated Amber Foster. “I feel like I could run a marathon right now. I’m really happy.”

Foster has gained 18 pounds since she arrived at the clinic Dec. 6, when she weighed just 76 pounds.

After weeks of getting to select her own meals and continual counselling, the 30-year-old was still 17 pounds under weight.

But CBC News has learned that Foster has received a discouraging diagnosis.

Natalie Clancy has more in this report.
