SOCOM 4 Delayed to 2011
SOCOM 4 was announced in March this year and slated for a fall release. The tactical third person shooter turned heads at E3 this year when it was shown with PlayStation Move functionality. Now in some sad new to fans, developer Zipper Interactive has sent confirmation that the SOCOM 4 release date has been pushed back. The game is now expected to hit retail in 2011.

Word comes by means of Zipper Interactive’s official website on which Jeremy Dunham, Senior Community Manager at Zipper Interactive writes, “While we’re certainly aware that you’ve been looking forward to playing SOCOM 4 this year, we don’t want to take any shortcuts. Instead, we want to deliver the ideal and most immersive SOCOM game we possibly can and we’re going to use our extra time to do just that.”
SOCOM 4 will be published by Sony Computer Entertainment and as is the trend with games from Sony, will be a PS3 exclusive. The game is set in Southeast Asia. We’ll keep you updated about release date information and any other features as and when they come our way.
