Back in February, we got the official word on a treat for virtual racing fans scheduled for launch later this year. Well, ‘later’ is the second half of this month itself as Sega Rally Online Arcade gears up for release in Xbox Live Arcade.

This HD racing title has apparently been bred from Sega Rally 3 and Sega Rally Revo. It mainly centers on on-line play and involves a lot of cars, tracks and modes to unlock as well as oodles of single player gameplay.
A blend of the arcade feel delivered by off-road racing with immersive driving physics ought to push along the game at full throttle. And it’s not just Xbox users who’re going to get a taste of racing action. Although Sega promises that the game will be coming to PSN too, a definite launch date is yet to be announced.
Enthusiasts can roll up their sleeves and get ready to burn some rubber on May 18. The game has been pegged at 800 MSP through XLBA.
