Now that Halloween is looming, we’ve been anticipating things like the Thriller Nintendo Video and Halloween: Trick or Treat to hit Nintendo downloadable games this week. Also up on offer are Anima: Ark of Sinners, Pyramids, Burger Time Deluxe and Academy: Checkers.

The DreamWorks Animation Nintendo Video dubbed Thriller is based on the classic Michael Jackson video of the same title and it features Shrek, Fiona and Donkey stuck in a midnight musical that turns into an unexpectedly scary ride. Next in line is Halloween: Trick or Treat centered on protagonists Mike and Sally as they escape from a witch’s place in the Pumpkin forest and get into all sorts of adventures along the way.
A board game is what players should anticipate with Academy checkers for Nintendo 3DS and DSi. It’s a single player title that will pit gamers against AI in English Checkers or International Draughts and cover 3 difficulty modes. Anima: Ark of Sinners for WiiWare is set in a forgotten city and has Celia exploring the world of Ark that she has fallen into. The game spans 21 interconnected stages, 12 enemies and 4 bosses.
Pyramids calls on players to lend a hand to a lost explorer as he tries to escape from 54 3D levels while wielding a shovel, TNT and a gun to dodge all those hazardous traps and monsters. In Burger Time Deluxe, Chef Peter Pepper is the main character who’s on a mission to create the ideal hamburger there ever was. Gamers must climb a series of ladders to gather all the required ingredients and complete cooking up the burgers to move on to the next level.
Halloween: Trick or Treat carries a price of $7.99 (approx. Rs. 390) through the eShop or 800 DSi Points. Anima: Ark of Sinners is downloadable for 1,000 Wii Points. Pyramids and Burger Time Deluxe are tacked at $3.99 (approx. Rs. 195) and $2.99 (approx. Rs. 145), respectively as part of this round of Nintendo downloadable games.
