Microsoft Launches Gears of War 3 for Markets in India

Gears of War 3, one of this year’s most anticipated titles has been released in India for the Xbox 360 by Microsoft. The Standard and Limited editions of the game are currently available for buy at retailers across the country. The game’s much talked about multiplayer mode can also be enjoyed now through Xbox Live.
This new title brings to an end, the current storyline of one of the most coveted franchises in video game history. Game modes that are on offer through this big title include versus multiplayer, four-player campaign co-op, Horde 2.0 and Beast mode. Developer Epic Games had recently confirmed that Gears of War 3 would also feature stereoscopic 3D support.
“With this much-awaited launch, the legendary Gears of War series comes to an end, and the entire experience has been made very memorable with – an enthralling cinematic history and unparralled game play with an explosive multiplayer action,” shared, Anshu Mor, Category Lead – Interactive Entertainment Business, Microsoft India. “We have also pushed the envelope for stunning visuals and the game has improved graphics, animation and lighting. Gears of War 3 delivers what the Xbox 360 is known for: the world’s biggest blockbusters, enduring stories from the world’s ideal storytellers and innovative entertainment experiences that you can’t find anywhere else.”
The multiplayer version of this title would also consist of a altered version of the famous Gridlock map which had featured in both the previous versions of the game. Events on the map will transpire during the night and there shall also be new weapon spawns. Other maps like Old Town, Thrashball and Trenches have also been altered following the feedback that was received during the game’s multiplayer beta.
Microsoft’s Gears of War 3 can now be bought in India at a price of Rs. 2,499 for the Standard edition and Rs. 3499 for the Limited edition.
