Kingdom Hearts Re:coded Coming Early Next Year
The end of the journey in Kingdom Hearts II has leased a new beginning in the life of Jiminy Cricket. This new escapade will form the next chapter in the Kingdom Hearts Franchise. Square Enix will release Kingdom Hearts Re:coded in Europe and other PAL territories for the Nintendo DS early next year.

In the new title, Jiminy finds a mysterious message in the journal from his first quest. To explore the secrets behind these notes, gamers will have to commence a new journey with King Mickey in this colorful and entertaining world. Integrated with the famous ‘Deck Command’ system from Birth By Sleep, games can execute more than 100 different commands with a single button for purging bugs who have infested the ‘datascape’ in the journal.
“The Kingdom Hearts series goes from strength to strength and Re:coded is another smash hit with an intriguing mystery to solve and plenty of fun along the way,” elucidated Larry Sparks, Vice President, Brands, PAL Region of Square Enix.
The game encompasses a range of battle systems such as side-scrolling boss battles, 3D shooting and Command Battles. The fun is further expanded with a New Growth System namely The Stat Matrix. In this system, players will need to place new chips into a circuit board to increase the power and capabilities of Sora. Additionally, they can also exchange their avatars and floor maps with friends through the Tag Mode.
Kingdom Hearts Re:coded is expected to hit stores on January 14, 2011 for the Nintendo DS in Europe and other PAL territories.
