Ginx TV to Launch Dedicated Video Gaming Channel in UK
Cross-media gaming activities have expanded on a wide scale in recent times. We’ve seen actors promoting their movies through games and popular titles being transformed into films but seemingly, the fever has spread from the huge screen to its smaller version. Ginx TV, producer of the tv show titled Gameface, has announced to dish out a dedicated gaming TV channel in the UK.

Ginx TV CEO Michiel Bakker beamed, “Launching our channel in the UK, the world’s second largest video gaming market, will propel Ginx to the huge league. The next step for me is to accelerate the roll-out of fully localised channels in key markets around the globe.” He further continued, “Video gaming is the only massively mainstream entertainment genre without a dedicated channel. My ambition here, is to do for gaming what MTV did for music. Video Gaming has broken through into mainstream entertainment, yet is thoroughly underrepresented on TV.”
It has been revealed that gaming enthusiasts will be able to tune into Ginx TV UK from the end of November 2010. To be distributed across Sky and Virgin Media Networks, the channel is being crafted for High Definition as well as Standard Definition flavors.
