doublesix will Release Strike Suit Zero In Early 2012

Indie developers doublesix games, who were the folks behind last year’s Burn Zombie Burn title, have announced a ‘unique arcade’ space shooter named Strike Suit Zero which will see a digital release on PC and consoles in early 2012. This title will be officially unveiled at the Gamescom which is slated to being on August 17, 2011.
Strike Suit Zero will be set in the final hours of the future Earth. As the planet faces the threat of complete destruction, the only hope of survival lies on an advanced, transforming spacecraft named Strike Suit. And on this mission, every second is stated to be precious. The spaceship is touted to be incorporated with ‘ludicrous firepower’ and ‘awesome abilities’. Gamers will be responsible for the fate of seven billion lives and will be required to take quick decisions.
“Strike Suit Zero is inspired by the classic space combat games we all love. But our game goes further – it takes that inspiration, pumps up the pace and injects a big sense of urgency to excite and challenge the player,” commented Jim Mummery, Creative Director doublesix games.
This title is supposed to feature high-speed zero gravity vehicular combat and a branching-mission structure. The designs of the spacecrafts in this game are created by well known Mechanical Design engineer Junji Okubo of Steel Battalion and Ex Machina fame. The music is scored by Paul Ruskay who will be present at the title’s Gamescom press conference.
Strike Suit Zero by doublesix is expected to release in Q1 of 2011 for PC and consoles. A definite launch date has not been revealed yet.
