Battlefield 3 Anti-Cheat Measures Beefed Up

As part of its continued endeavor to curtail cheating in Battlefield 3, DICE has spruced up the anti-cheat measures for the on-line multiplayer part of this game. According to a post on the official Battlefield 3 blog, the developer has apparently banned a batch of several hundred cheaters acting on confirmed reports and player behavior data.
The developer has also announced, that gamers who feel that they have been victims of cheating can report their concerns through the game itself. All they need to do is, enter Battlelog and open the profile page of the concerned player. They can then click on a yellow triangle on the top right corner of that gamer’s name. Doing this, will open up a window where the complaint can be described to DICE.
“We have always taken cheating seriously. Starting today, we will further intensify our efforts to hunt down and rid Battlefield 3 of cheaters. Stats wiping and banning this disruptive minority is the only way they will comprehend that they are ruining the game for others. We do this for the millions of dedicated players out there who deserve a fair game, every game.” H. Brun of DICE wrote on the blog.
Those who report about the cheating through the above mentioned procedure have been encouraged by the developer to enter as many details about the issues as they can. These reports will then be scrutinized by analysts, who after deeper studies of the situations, will take appropriate actions.
Let’s hope that these new anti-cheat measures by DICE for Battlefield 3 are put to right use by gamers, taking its on-line offerings as close to fair-play as possible.
