Winehouse Scraps Shows After Shambolic Tour Start
British singer Amy Winehouse has scrapped shows in Turkey and Greece following a shambolic tour opener in Serbia on Saturday night.
The Rehab hitmaker was booed by fans in Belgrade after staggering onstage late, slurring her words and then repeatedly walking off mid-song.
The concert in Belgrade was supposed to be the begin of a 12-date European tour.
In a statement from her management, the singer’s handlers insist Winehouse is sorry about pulling the concerts but she “feels that this is the right thing to do”.
The statement reads, “She has concurred with management that she can’t perform to the ideal of her capability and will return home.”
