Stars turn out for Los Angeles premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1
Kristen Stewart, who plays Bella Swan, looked sultry in a long purple and black sequinned gown with a thigh-high split, while British actor Robert Pattinson, her real-life partner, wore a slim-fitted grey suit.
“It was amazing, I had the clearest head I’ve had on the whole series, I was like so in my body that day. A lot of times you can overthink everything but that is not how I wanted to remember it,” she said.
Lautner, who plays werewolf Jacob Black in the series, stated that it was sad that the saga was coming to an end.
“It has been a journey. We’ve had a lot of fun together so when we completed filming it was kind of a bummer … going back filming is like reuniting with the family, so it was tough to finish,” he said.
After the third film, “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” ended on a proposal, the fourth film sees young lovers Bella Swan and vampire Edward Cullen finally come together in a highly anticipated wedding that has had “Twilight” fans in a frenzy.
Robert Pattinson, who plays Edward Cullen, and Lautner are expected to attend the UK premiere at Westfield Stratford in east London on Wednesday.
The film will be released in the UK on Friday.
Experts have predicted record-breaking ticket sales for the last two parts of the film series, which are adapted from Stephenie Meyer’s novels.
Breaking Dawn Part 2 will not be released until November 2012.
