Kylie Minogue bear pic banned from Facebook
The pic was posted on Facebook by a fan but it was later pulled from the site.
The social networking site sent out an email which read: “We do not grant pics that contain nudity, drug use or violence.”
It is not the first time that Facebook has censored seemingly innocent photographs.
Earlier this year Facebook told one user to remove pics of porcelain dolls with no clothes on from her page, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.
In 2008 the site was heavily criticised after it banned pics of women breastfeeding.
Thousands of women had their pics removed from profiles and on-line albums after they were classified as “obscene content” by the site.
Facebook stated the website took no action over most breastfeeding pics because they follow the site’s terms of use, but pics that showed nipples were indecent and had to be removed.
